Biography
|
Ronald A. Kerr serves as a senior advisor for Sperry Van Ness specializing in the sale and lease of self storage, office and light industrial properties in Charlotte, Collier and Lee counties, Florida. Kerr is a part of the Sperry Van Ness Self Storage Team led by Nicholas Malagisis, National Director of Self Storage. With 18 years of commercial real estate experience, Kerr has secured 110 transactions with a sales volume at over $150 million.
Prior to joining Sperry Van Ness, Kerr served as a broker for JMK Realty Services, Inc., Lund Capitol Group and YORK Commercial Real Estate. Previously, he served as senior property manager for Trammell Crow Company, CB Richard Ellis and The Allen Morris Company.
Career highlights include sizable lease transactions with The Allen Morris Company in 1993; IBM Lease—20,000 SF in 1995; State of Florida—25,000 SF with CB Richard Ellis in 1998; Humana Health Care—25,000 SF in 1997; GE Client Services—20,000 SF; and Trammell Crow Company in 2001 with the Internal Medicine Association—30,000 SF.
Brokerage highlights include the representation of buyers in the purchase of land for development: 2005, Blauvise & Browne Investments, LLC –2.28 acres for $1,350,000; 2005, Gemini Development, LLC—4.5 acres for $1,395,000; and 2006, Lund Capital Group—15 acres for $3,750,000. Additional Buyer representation for investment real estate: 2005, Curtright Truitt, PA- 4,000 SF for $675,000; 2006, Big Bend, LLC- 30,000 SF for $1,950,000. Current listings are Fort Myers Commerce Park, a 71,000 SF office/warehouse condo development, asking price $10,650,000.
Kerr’s professional affiliations include the Southwest Florida Chapter of Certified Commercial Investment Member and the Commercial Investment Professionals of Lee County. Additionally, Kerr is a member of the Institute of Real Estate Management where he has served as certified property manager since 1987 and currently serves on the board of directors for Chapter 44. He is also a Certified Property Manager. Kerr earned a Bachelor of Science from Arizona State University.
