Biography

Jerry D. Anderson, CCIM, serves as the executive managing director of Sperry Van Ness Florida. As the pioneer of the first regional/area developer agreement awarded by Sperry Van Ness International, Anderson is responsible for the growth and cohesive unification of the company in Florida by strategically identifying key markets, companies and advisors.

For more than 3 years Anderson was the president of the Sperry Van Ness National Advisor Organization and then was president and chief operating officer of Sperry Van Ness International in 2007. During Anderson’s tenure the company grew from 300 advisors to more than 950 and expanded its footprint internationally and into the Institutional arena.

Prior to joining Sperry Van Ness, Anderson served as the president of Coldwell Banker Commercial, a subsidiary of Cendant Corporation, growing the company in gross revenues from $20 million to close to $300 million and more than 400 offices in less than five years. Anderson is the co-author of the best-selling audio tape programs Commercial Real Estate: How to Buy, Sell and Lease as well as Real Estate: Mastering the Negotiation Process. He also authored Guide to Home Ownership. All series were published by Nightingale Conant. His book Success Strategies for Investment Real Estate published by Prentice Hall now is a classic on the shelves of commercial real estate practitioners.

Anderson has made presentations on real estate investment to audiences in France, the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and all 50 states in the United States. Anderson also has discussed investment real estate on television networks including NBC, CBS, ABC, PBS, and more than 250 radio stations. In 1993, Anderson created THE MORTGAGE TERMINATOR a book, audio and computer software package which has won national acclaim and is now saving more than 10,000 homeowners thousands of dollars annually on their mortgages. Anderson created, developed and owned in partnership with professional ballplayers, Bucky Dent's Baseball School in Del Ray Beach, Florida. The school serves 5,000 students per year and is world renowned for its “Little Fenway” ballpark and housing facility. The school was sold in 1992 to a private investor.
